OMG! You and I have the same life! I have been dealing with what I have now diagnosed as slipping rib syndrome for 2 1/2 years following a car accident. I've been on pain meds for the last year (they don't do a whole lot, but w/o them I am often in excruciating pain). I've faithfully believed my dr that no one really knows what to DO about my crazy hyper-mobile ribs and that we can just plug along w/ the pain meds and he throws in a new treatment every now and again (rib brace, injections, tens unit, etc., etc.) all of which either do nothing or increase my pain. I've only discovered SRS in the last 48 hours (this morning I printed out an article entitled "Two Years of Debilitating Pain in a Football Spearing Victim: Slipping Rib Syndrome" and delivered it to his office. I also moved up my appointment to see him as soon as I could - 3 weeks away of course). Have you had the rib resection? I looked through most of your posts but skipped some... If you haven't had it - why not? From the minimal searching I've been able to do so far, it looks really promising....I'd love to hear how your progress is. I need some hope!
